Who is the course for ?

EVOC 518 is required for the Level 1 Designated Subjects Teaching Credential and the Bachelor of Vocational Education (BVE) Degree. It can also be applied to an MA degree if not taken as an undergraduate.

It has proven to be beneficial for people who are teaching in community college, training academies, apprenticeship programs, correctional institutions or business/vocational/professional schools.

Altough it is possible to enroll in all of the Level 1 courses (EVOC 501, EVOC 518 and EVOC 519) concurrently, it is recommended that anyone wishing to enroll in EVOC 518 should first complete EVOC 501.

It is also helpful (but not required) to be currently employed as a teacher when taking the EVOC 518 course.
